I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be among all of this great talent. Thank you so much Jenny for giving me the honor to celebrate your birthday with you this weekend. Jenny asked that we made a project following these two guidelines (1) It had 3 colors or more and (2) that it had at least 1 piece of bling.  So I set out on a mission. We just happen to have a birthday coming up in our family so what better time to make the birthday card! Here is what I came up with.

A side-step card fit for a little princess with her fairytale castle in the clouds and lollipops for trees. The Princess herself is on a Action Wobble. The bling is on her scepter and the centers of the lollipops. It's difficult to see in the picture but the castle and rainbow has fiber fill around it to give it the look of fluffy clouds. When you open the doors to the castle you will see our little Princesses age, "4".

RECIPE:
Cricut Carts:
Once Upon a Princess, Hello Kitty, Everyday Paper Dolls
Action Wobble
Peachy Keen Princess Faces
Irock & bling
DCWV Summer Glitter Stack
DCVW Autumn Glitter Stack
Martha Stewart Punch

You Shine! More challenges this week!

I'll be away next week visiting my grandson and 2 very large Great Danes in Niagara Falls while my daughter and her husband go on their Southern Caribbean cruise. Poor kids, having to leave the cold and snow to hit the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Can you imagine? Can't help but feel bad for them.
So while lamenting for them I felt a sudden wave of creativity  and decided to join in on the Peachy Keen Challenge. Then I found more! 4 challenges in one week.........what has come over me?
 Challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 46
Paper Crafting Journey Challenge 4

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Can you even believe it! Three posts this week but I couldn't resist to take on this Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge. I love the Create a Critter cart. It is so much fun! So here is my crafty creation:
I adore penguins and this one is super sweet. You can't tell from the picture but he is mounted on a Action Wobble so he is a dancin' penguin. Of course he has that adorable Peachy Keen face. His feet and beak have a coating of Glossy Accents. The heart ballon is cut from Once Upon a Princess. The red bling was set with my trusty & beloved Irock. The paper is from DCWV Black Current Stack and the sentiment was from My Creative Time.
Now if I can just win these stamps :-)!
Thanks so much for looking! Drop by again soon!

A Birthday Card with Hello Kitty

Good evening peeps! I've been pretty lax this past week in posting so I thought I had better make some type of appearance soon before you all forget me! Welcome new followers! I can't believe I am up to 40 already! Just love it! Thank you also for the great comments, I really do read them and appreciate them. Today I finally managed to clear my home of the last of the Christmas decorations. The house looks & feels so bare now. With that week long chore complete I can get back into the swing of things. Thank goodness for birthdays or I would be without something to show you!
You all know I love round cards so I just had to make one for Arielle. She loves Hello Kitty so the theme was a no-brainer.
I cut the scalloped card from Wild Card Cart using the" fit to page" feature on my Cricut Expression. The top (purple) layer was a freehand shape rescued from an error I made...oops! The border was punched using a Martha Stewart Hearts Border punch. Kitty's soft fur was made by running the pieces through my Xyron and then covering the adhesive using Cotton Ball White Fun Flock. I was unable to find Hello Kitty with a cupcake so I had to add that on, but it was taken from the Hello Kitty Cart. The cupcake holder was scored to give it is pleated appearance, The frosting was made using my favorite Goldens Medium and the cherry was made using Stickles. If I were to remake this card I would definitely use narrower ribbon for her bow or perhaps just use the paper version. It is difficult to see in the picture but a white heart button is sewn in the middle. The bling was adhered using my Irock for the very first time! The paper was from DCWV, the flowers were Prima. "Hey Cupcake" was stamped from Scrappy Moms "Sweet Somethings" set. I love those stamps! As a matter of fact I love them so much that I ordered a duplicate set so guess what part of my blog candy will be for Debbies Birthday Blog Hop on January 24th-28th? I think you may have the answer or part of it anyhow! Guess you will just have to stop by & see!
Later!
