My Pot 'O Gold

Top of the mornin' to ya my crafty friends! The ides of March are almost upon us as is St. Patty's day. This is a big holiday here in the Hudson Valley as there is a high population of Irish here. Our main street in town has a thick green stripe down the middle and this weekend was the big parade and Shamrock Run. Big doings in this little town! I have never made a card for the occasion but thought I might give it a try and enter some challenges. I love shaped cards so using my Gypsy I made a Shamrock shaped card with a rainbow and what else but a Pot 'O Gold! The rainbow, cloud and pot of gold is mounted on a Action Wobble to bring it to life! LOVE those Action Wobbles!!
Recipe:
Generic green cardstock
Blk paint chip for the Pot 'O gold
iRock metals-"gold"
Green, blue,gold & purple Stickles
Twine from The Twinery
Cricut Carts:
Paper Doll Dress Up
Hello Kitty
Charm by:Lost & Found-Blue Moon
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders:

Tiny Mosaic
Polka Dots

The sentiment inside reads: "You're my Pot of Gold" (computer generated).

Tomorrow is my "Miracle" Moms 83rd Birthday! If you don't know why she is a miracle read my last post!
Happy Birthday Mom-I  {{{{Heart}}} love you & hope you are on the mend!
Also please keep Emma (My Creative Time) & her family in your thoughts in prayers. Her husband has been ill and currently is without a diagnosis. And please let's not forget those in Japan. I was in a 6.8 earthquake-the Sylmar Quake in Los Angeles, 2/1971. To this day if something shakes my house I panic. That was minuscule in comparison to the 8.8 quake in Japan. I can't even imagine the horror those poor people are living....I can't even imagine.

On a brighter note here are the challenges entered:
My Creative Time-Throwback Thursday-Episode 175
Shelly's Images Blog- Something Green
Stamping Vacation-Name your own challenge & mine will be something green, something that moves and not your typical card shape!
More Than Favors-Wacky Wednesday Challenge #30-St. Patrick's Day.

Blessings to Mom, Emma & Hubby & the people of Japan

Countdown to Santa's Big Day!

Gift Baskets
Just 4 more days till Santa comes down our chimneys and our lives return to normal, if indeed there is such a thing as "normal"! The days have just flown by. I'm not even sure I remember this month. Dementia or busy...Hummm? The glass etching is finished as of early this morning. I have a few more ornaments to put finishing touches on, few more ribbons to tie and many tags to make and then Santa's mission is complete for another year
Oh oh....forgot the wrapping I have to start! Yes...I said start, not finish! On the bright side I completed my first "fancy" tag and am really pleased with it! The exciting part is I used my early Christmas gift to do it-my GYPSY! I couldn't believe how easy it was. I hate to admit this but I was just a little bit intimidated by it so I made a decision to use it after the Christmas rush.
That quickly changed today when I realized I wanted to use Tags, Bags, Boxes and have it only on the Gypsy..so much for that idea! I was amazed how easy it was and found myself making tags in record time. I think I'm going to love my Gypsy!
Welcome to  all my new followers. I can't tell you how excited I get every time I find a new face on my list! I foresee some Blog Candy happening next month- details to follow!
Later friends! Don't forget to take some time to enjoy your loved ones and feel the real spirit of Christmas!
