I've been a real slacker keeping up with this blog! It seems when it rains it POURS! I've gone from unemployed to having two jobs. No I am not complaining at all but the preparations have kept me busy! My first Scrapbooking Class at Micheal's is in less than 2 weeks. That takes some preparation making flyers and storyboards and all that good stuff!I had to put some layouts together and that takes me FOREVER! I think I am more of a cardmaker than scrapbooker. The second job, actually my primary job is set to begin the day before my first class and because it is health care there is a whole slew of preparation...clearances, fingerprints. So I've been busy however gratefully so!
I have promised for weeks that I would share my wedding projects so I will do that today. I am so pleased with the way this turned out!
The front was embossed using my Cuddlebug. The window was
cut using my Spellbinders die with an embossed acrylic sheet
sheet added behind it. The edges are trimmed with antique lace. The plate where the sentiment is stamped is from Lacy Labels with the end caps from a different cut on Lacy Labels . These were heat embossed in gold embossing powder and adhesive pearls from Recollections added. The cream paper is from Joann's. Sentiments are by 40:31 Creations ,Love and Weddings.
The inside of the card has poems on both sides printed on vellum. The right side has a pocket which holds a tag from Tags ,Bags, Boxes and More with a personal message written on it for the bride.
I made a box to fit the card and lined it with pink tissue paper. The box papers are from DCWV Lace and Linen stack. Those papers were so perfect for this box! The belly band was embellished with hand made "melted rayon" flowers; butterflys and border from Martha Stewart punches. The ribbon was hand dyed seam binding. The pearls are by Recollections.,
I had so much fun making this card but I think I left it pretty stained with tears. That was my baby, but I sure did gain a wonderful son-in;law so if I had to give her away I am glad it was to him! So all 3 of my sweet babies are all married of and safe in the arms of those who love them!
Speaking of my SIL allow me the opportunity to brag! Last night my DH and I attended a ceremony at Middletown High School where my SIL received High School Lacrosse Coach of the Year! Not only is he an English teacher but gives countless hours to his Lacrosse Team. His team also received National recognition with a Sportsmanship award. We are so proud of him!
