Well the calendar says it's spring and we really are in the very last day of the fickle month of March so I guess it really is spring...right? Well mother nature is pulling a fast one on us here in NY. Snow is coming after midnight...APRIL FOOLS DAY! What a winter it has been and I'm pretty sick of it at this point!
I have been pretty lax at this blogging thing this past month. I have either been traveling, had company or busy with projects for Easter. Wait till you see what I've been doing. I have a sneek peak for you April 15-17th during Gina &Tisha's Bunny Hop. Mark your calendars. It's going to be fun and loaded with talent and great projects.
We had a wonderful weekend in Sturbridge, Mass at a quaint Inn built in the late 1700's.If you are ever looking for a quiet getaway with phenomenal food..the Publick House is a wonderful place to visit. Initially it looked pricey but the Bed and Board package is well worth the money. If you love antiques this area is loaded with beautiful shops. I made a great haul of beautiful antique lace &old sheet music for card-making.
The following weekend my daughter Colleen visited for the weekend and we made a trip to NYC for the day. I can never get enough of the City. Love to visit but always love to come home again. I usually go without a plan and just wander. This visit we wandered right into Macy's Flower Show. Wow that was quiet the sight to see The entire store was packed with beautiful fresh flowers and plants-just incredible.
Back to the subject at hand. I made a spring time card to share today. Note-there is an umbrella and rain boots....NOT snow shovels & snow boots!
Recipe:
Nate's ABC's cart.-boots and umbrella
Christmas Card cart-card base
Serenade-cloud
Paper & ribbon scraps from my stash
Sentiment: Scrappy Moms:Sweet Sentiments
Update on Courtney-your thoughts & prayers worked. She is out of the hospital and doing well! Thank you all so much!
Will share more NYC adventures next post....until then...THINK SPRING!
