Welcome to Day Two of Debbie's "It's My Birthday" Blog Hop. As I mentioned yesterday, this is my very first Blog Hop and I want to take the opportunity to thank Debbie for inviting me to participate. I feel so honored! And it has been so exciting!
If you've come from Kathy's Blog, Paper Fanatic, then you're on the right track. If you just happened upon my blog then welcome! Perhaps you'd like to join the celebration from the beginning, starting at our sweet host and Birthday Girl, Debbie's Creativity Heals. Wouldn't want you to miss a thing, There is so much great talent to be seen thru the week!
So are you having a great time? Yesterday we had cake, today it's presents! Now who doesn't love presents? I know I do. I'm especially fond of presents that come in small boxes. They tend to be extra special. So I decided to make a small gift! So small the tag almost hides it! The box itself is a surprise. It is my first attempt at an explosion box and it was surprisingly easy! You can find the tutorial here at Splitcoaststampers.
I wanted to take it one step further and make the inside a little more festive for the occasion so I tried my hand at a cake (I think I'm fixated on inedible cakes! "No Points"- TOO many Weight Watchers meetings!).
Recipe:
Box & Lid: K & Company double sided paper
ScorPal
Tag: Lacy Labels
Paper from my stash
Cake: Light wt. cardboard
2-Spellbinders Nestabilities Scallop Circles (2")
6"x2" strip stamped for side of cake
4 computer generated greetings adhered to sides
That's all there is to it! Easy peasy! Now about that YUMMY Blog Candy!
For those of you that become followers and leave comments on my blog for all 5 days of our Blog Hop there's a little extra in store for you! So be sure if you missed yesterday you go back and leave a comment!
